ID'd first by call, was imitating a hawk. Was with another individual (not photographed)
Was sitting and eating, or perhaps enjoying the sunset.
Gliding maybe 30 feet up. Silvery Primary tips and black plumage throughout indicates Black Vulture (opposed to Turkey Vulture)
Two were flying over. Maybe 50 feet up or so.
Visiting my Feeder. Male. Was very excited to eat all the sunflower seeds, though I wish he'd pick up the shells after he was done.
A flock of hungry Fish Crows encircled the area and several landed in a nearby tree. The calls were not the “caws” of American Crows, but the nasal calls of Fish Crows. This flock resides in this neighborhood and raucously raids the trash bins of local restaurants.
