It was dead when I found it
I found this insect walking around on a table within Lewis Hall. It fled from my ruler. I caught it and relocated it outside into the atrium.
When caught, it released a defensive odor that I can't describe. It wasn't cinnamon-like like the other similar looking Stink Bug species I've seen produce. It smelled vaguely like an autumn themed decor store.
ID based on iNaturalist's AI suggestion and the visual similarity between the suggestion's thumbnail and this stink bug.
