You can see in photo 2 that the legs are wildly splayed and this wingless female is not happy traversing sloping beach sand.
A small crab was heading towards a hole where another one was perched in the entrance. It was interesting to see that the tiny tracks in the sand are made by these crabs.

Larvae found on and in a well decomposed kangaroo carcass.

Feeding on Eucalyptus viminalis saplings (post-2020 fire regrowth), with one adult beetle and several larvae on the one plant. I know finding larvae and adults on the same plant doesn't guarantee they are the same species, and I can split the photos into two observations if anyone strongly feels I should.
