Visual Description: The Leucauge argyra was about 3 inches long. It had long legs that were longer than its body. Its body was black, white, and had a few colored spots that were orange/yellow. It had a long, oval body shape.
Defining Characteristics: The orangish color and very long legs are defining characteristics. It was found near water, which is where they typically are.
Habitat: They are typically found in Florida and near water. They are also found in Brazil. This Leucauge argyra in particular was found near a lake and in a moist environment.
