Growing on hardwood debris and a mossy hardwood log. Mottled gills that are free or deeply notched. 8+ cm tall, cap 2.5 cm.
Spore print was dark with a hint of purple. Spores are mounted in water, appear red-purple, seem to have a germ pore, and avg 10.8 × 6.07 um.

A guess. On acidic rock in stream. What caught my eye was that the mosses could not grow over them.
