Last 3 photos are at 1000x, reticle measure 1:1, showing asci and paraphyses. Unfortunately I was not able to find any mature spores. Photos 7 and 10 are mounted in Lugol's, no reaction.
Is this a grissete? I didn't have a chance to dig it out to see if it had a volva.

Spores ~ 3x1 microns, semicircular (see circled photo). Used references: Ascomycete Fungi of North America and Adolf & Oluna Ceska's very helpful observations of this species at https://mushroomobserver.org/70526
...species complex
Lachnellula gallica (species fungorum says P. gallica is the current name).
Not sure what kind of wood this is, the forest is mixed, conifer (mostly Doug fir) and hardwood such as maple, alder, etc. Spores are (8.75) 10-11.25 (12.5) x 6.25-7.5 microns. No reaction in Lugol's, which rules out L. occidentalis, which has overlapping spore sizes. Much thanks to Bjorn Wergen via the Facebook group Ascomycetes of the World for helping to narrow this down.
