On high White Cedar branch plucking its prey. Approx 30cm slimline body, yellow around eye. Unsure if Sparrowhawk/Falcon / Kestrel or Hobby - Poor mp photos
Looks like a magpie but colours are all wrong
Poor images on full Android camera zoom. First few images are of a male, others have either a male and female or a female only. (In some later images I'm not even sure if I can see the male in the low shrub, left side vs a female right side, but I have included all my images of these wrens in case they are at all helpful. We saw similar small groups of fairywrens on occasions around Warraweena but I have no photos of those).
Another series of low quality Android camera zoom images of one medium size raptor sitting in a tree, with the last 2 images showing it taking flight.
It was relatively unperturbed by our vehicular presence and only flew to another tree slightly further away. My guess was brown falcon but I really don't know:)
I think but not sure. Aroona dam reserve. More wary than expected for the location but I suppose a proportion of the ducks inhabiting this large wetlands reserve are nomadic or itinerant and are hunted elsewhere.
Female or juvenile.
Another of these geckos (there were at least 3 preying on insects attracted to the night light outside the door of our accommodation).
