While searching for Frosted Phoenix moth came across this elegant noctuid on wall in Oban township on Stewart Island
Flying fast and actively on a sunny morning, visiting flowers. In this case, mint.
An absolutely wild night with a UV light, I've never seen so many moths show up before. It may have even been too many moths. This was the find of the night, at least until I've had a good look at what else showed up!
I never seen this moth before. I caught it at night time on 28/2/2024.
Using the id guide to micro moths, I think it could be T. belonota. Small curved palps
