This photo most likely shows an ant. The ant was on the side of my house. In that area it was shady, however the weather was sunny and bright. The photo was taken in the early afternoon. This insect may be in the family Formicidae, which is the family of ants. The ant was black in color and relatively small. It also had tiny antennas on the top of it’s head. I was able to make the assumption that it’s an ant due to prior knowledge of what an ant looks like and comparing to other sources.
