This week's nature walk was by far my favorite as I walked around campus and the reservoir observing all the beautiful trees on campus. The weather was a bit cold, but I loved the breeze and the birds chirping as I walked and took my photos. I saw a variety of tree species; my favorite was the flowering plants. Although spring is over and we are midway into the fall, some plants still bear flowers, and it brightens up my day to look at them every day. As we have learned in class, plants are an essential part of life on earth, and it is nice to see how beautiful that is. I enjoy these nature walks because it reminds me to relax and enjoy nature once in a while.

As I walked around the reservoir, the weather was beautiful. The sky was clear and sunny, and I could feel the breeze as I walked down the path. Walking around the reservoir was lovely and refreshing, but one unpleasant thing I observed was the gnats flying over my head. I felt very gross walking in that area, but the overall walk was great. I observed many mushrooms of different species, and after a long search, I finally found some crowded parchment. Seeing the different types of fungi was fascinating, and I would definitely do it again.

I took two nature walks this week. For my first nature walk, I walked around the Boston public garden last the weekend in the warm weather. The park was very crowded; some people were taking photos while others had quiet time lying on the grass. I observed so many beautiful plants as I walked through the park. The one that caught my eyes was the Coleus herb, it was so beautiful my friends and I stopped to get a group photo. We spent about 45 mins walking through the park. I also made a couple of stops to feed the very friendly squirrels. Altogether it was a very eventful breezy afternoon in Boston. For my second walk, I walked around the chestnut Hill Reservior on a beautiful morning. The weather was very chilly and refreshing. I saw the beautiful aspects of nature, ranging from the geese in the water to the caterpillar on the side of the water. This walk was approximately 30 mins.

Lilyturf are also known as big blue lilyturf, lilyturf, border grass, and monkey grass. They are generally used as a ground cover. It looks a little dry right now, but it stays green all year round. I took a picture of it because I thought its purple flowers looked pretty.
