Third Nature Walk
As I walked home from class today, I decided to explore a lake by my house. The weather today was chilly, with slight precipitation and breaks in the clouds every now and then. As I walked along the lake, I was able to observe several species of plants, from big to small. For example, I observed a large Weeping Willow across the lake, as well as some evergreen trees. I also took time to observe smaller species of plants, such as Asters, Impatiens, and fruit baring plants such as crabapples and spindles. As I kept walking, I couldn't help but also observe the abundance of species of moss growing on rocks and tress around the neighborhood. I was also able to identify some ferns and other species of plants growing in the grass, and was very fascinated by how many types of plants there are growing around us.
