What started with birdwatching has evolved into a greater appreciation of all living organisms. The art of "noticing things" makes every walk, every hike an adventure.

My primary interest lies in the Alpine ecosystems of Switzerland, trying to take in as much of the flora & fauna as I can during my visits to the mountains. Photography lets me capture and catalogue these encounters, though over the years I've found joy in shooting landscapes as well!

I have a background in Cell Biology, studying at University College London and The University of Queensland, and a PhD in fruitfly developmental biology at the University of Zürich.
