Lifelong obsessed-but-lazy amateur naturalist, Ecology and Evolution PhD dropout, old coot, in Fall Creek, OR. I was born and raised in southern Wisconsin, but found my true home in the Willamette Valley. Having grown up where tallgrass prairie and savanna restoration originated, I'm engaged in restoring my own little patch of Garry oak savanna and WV upland prairie, amid the vestiges of the old Fall Creek School. I expect this to occupy the remainder of my days.
