I'm an ecologist and insatiably curious about photosynthetic lifeforms and allies, with some attention to birds, lizards, salamanders, fish and other vertebral groups. Phytoplankton, algae, lichens, mosses, liverworts and flowering plants are my main focus. Ecological assessments and landscape reconstructions are my work foci. My preferred habitat is the Columbia Coast in the Pacific Northwest, from north Tillamook County to Pacific County, straddling the Columbia River.
