I have a professional interest in the taxonomy of alien plants in South Africa, in particular those where evidence of naturalization has only recently come to light. Part of my duties at SANBI involve collating information for the National checklist of Naturalized Plants.
I have specialized in African Apiaceae and Brassicaceae (e.g. Heliophila), and geographically in the flora of Limpopo Province, SA.
