I am a PhD candidate at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and Imperial College London. My research focuses on the evolution and ecology of Teloschistales lichen (firedot lichens). Specifically I am investigating the evolution of sunscreening pigments and how they have helped these lichens to diversify into new habitats and adapt to changing climates.
