Projektin Great Southern Bioblitz 2021 - Maroondah Päiväkirja

Hey everyone,

Hope you've been able to enjoy some of the lovely springtime weather.
With 7 days to go before the Great Southern BioBlitz with Maroondah City Council, I thought it would be a great time to showcase some of the amazing biodivesity found across Maroondah currently, there are just under 300 observers in Maroondah City Council and over 600 iNaturalists that help identify local observations, which is fantastic.

So please feel free to keep making observations and helping others identify their observations, all in the name of science of course. We've got some beautiful spring weather currently and over the next few days. So, I'd like to share again some of the wonderful biodiversity that has been captured across Maroondah in the past week!
Currently we are sitting on 5,672 observations for "Nature in Maroondah", I wonder if we can hit over 6000 by Monday the 25th with the help of the Great Southern BioBlitz? That would be excellent.

If you have any friends of family around Maroondah, please share the messaging about the BioBlitz. It's such a valuable citizen science event and incredibly enjoyable if I say so myself.

In the lead up to the BioBlitz starting, it would be a great time to share what was observed during 2020's months of Spring to see what was a seen last year! Spring is always exciting as you can see pops of colour appear throughout natural areas, so every piece of biodiversity you can observe is like its own little prize.
