Wednesday 2/24/2021 - north side

Saturday 9:00-11:00 am: 14 new dead newts, no live newt!
I walked with Ross.
Weather - sunny. Rain MTD 0.77 in, YTD 9.74 in per http://www.weathercat.net/wxraindetail.php
We documented 14 new dead newts. All were pretty dry. We did the north section survey and ended experiment #4. We documented 37 flagged newts from the parking lot to the boat club. They weren't added to this project, as they were already added on Saturday. All individuals were removed.
Other roadkills: some millipedes, a couple of beetles, one skink.
Coverage: north part - from the parking lot to the second stop sign.
Traffic: 42 cars (including County Parks), 3 bikes, 16 pedestrians, and 19 cars parked by the road and in the parking lots (1 in the farther lot).
We met the HTH team a few times, who pointed out the dead skink on the road.
