Projektin Regenerating Lithgow Päiväkirja

We've got another bioblitz event coming up this weekend, this time at State Mine Heritage Park.

We will be exploring the bushland behind the State Mine Museum and workshops, which is normally not open to the public, so it will be exciting to see what we find. Megan Halcroft, a native pollinator specialist will be joining us to run a pollinator survey. This bushland burnt in the 2019-20 bushfires, so it will be interesting to document how it has recovered since then.

We've been a bit quiet over winter, but don't worry we've been working busily to plan some very exciting events for the rest of the year.

First up is a Spring Bioblitz Bushwalk. We will be walking from Bridge Street Lithgow to Bracey Lookout, and making observations along the way, then also exploring in the vicinity of the lookout. We will have Sean our insect expert along, as well as a couple of local plant experts to answer all our questions about local biodiversity and help in our exploring.

Hassans Walls Reserve is such a treasured area right on Lithgow's doorstep, so we are excited to be focussing on it for this event.
