Request for specimens

Please consider helping Sam to obtain specimens for his study.

"My name is Sam Peta, MSc student with the Measey Lab (Centre for Invasion Biology, Stellenbosch University). I am working on a project to understand the trophic interaction of the Guttural Toad (what the toad eats and what eats the toad) in both KZN and Cape Town. I cordially request your assistance notify me (sampeta@sun.ac.za/ +27 76 829 8681) if you come across roadkill any of the following species:
Snouted Cobra,
Rhombic Night Adder,
Mozambican Spitting Cobra,
Herald Snake,
Hamerkop,
Rinkhals,
Brown Forest Cobra,
Black-Necked Spitting Cobra,
Southern Ground Hornbill,
Woolly-Necked Stork,
Woodland Kingfisher,
African civet
(Only in KZN and Cape Town).

I just need muscle tissue from the above-mentioned species to run stable isotope analysis. You can cut a small chunk of muscle tissue of the roadkill species and store it in table salt - with the label (species ID, date and time of collection) and I will arrange courier collection at your respective place. I would appreciate your help with this."

Roadkill

Animals killed on our roads. Data will be shared with other surveys of this problem.

if you add Habitat (s afr) no other data is needed for the EWT Roadkill project: it is all already on iNat.
