That just seems like a specimen labeled with a synonym. In Hawaii where it’s super invasive and new ones are introduced often enough it’s always referred to as Tibouchina. Is this just a synonym or has the genus changed names recently?

Was there a name change for Tibouchina? I believe this is still the accepted name and not the new one it was replaced with
