The nomenclature and sequence of genera and species in Estrildidae (Waxbills and Allies) is revised, following Olsson and Alström (2020). Due to deep genetic divergence, Olsson and Alström (2020) partition Estrilda into three genera; change the scientific name of Black-faced Waxbill from Estrilda erythronotos to Brunhilda erythronotos.
