@komille277 I think @pulk has some concerns about how the structure of this Swap affects other members of Hydnopolyporus.
I can't tell if it really is still a Draft (as it appears) or if it has been implemented already (since I can't seem to bring up H-oporus in the search bar).
Maybe @jameskm will have an idea about how to re-structure this.

Irpex is now the correct name for Hydnopolyporus as such, but it's a (really) undesirable situation to have all the "Hydnopolyporus" observations, representing a super distinctive species group within Irpex, to be scattered in with the other Irpex and inseparable from them.

Unfortunately the authors who synonymized the genera didn't go to the trouble to establish an infrageneric taxon for former-Hydnopolyporus (or address the existence of the other Hydnopolyporus species at all), so I think the best name here would be "Irpex rosettiformis complex". If H. palmatus and H. fimbriatus have been synonymized (which I'm not seeing) it's an even easier fix, just rename Hydnopolyporus to Irpex rosettiformis.

I don't understand how the swap (draft) is functioning here either. I don't want to delete this draft in case it's the only place with the data distinguishing the old Hydnopolyporus obses.

@leptonia imo there is not good evidence that there are in fact any other members of Hydnopolyporus besides the highly morphologically variable Irpex rosettiformis

@komille277 Is there good evidence that there are not?
