The Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) is an environmental nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (MD and DC). We work on restoring the Anacostia River and its watershed communities. We are interested in documenting the biodiversity of the Anacostia River watershed as well as educating the watershed residents (and the general public) about its existence, management and conservation.
