Very pink. Found by an unknown participant at an unknown location within the park
Entoloma spotted from 20ft away with UV. Bright yellow-green fluorescence. Seems to be widespread throughout the hardwood, hemlock, rhododendron forest. This one about 5" tall. Brown with a pointed cap. Collected for sequencing.
Growing among leaf litter on a ridge top near Quercus alba, Quercus rubra, Sassafras albidum, Cornus sp., Acer rubrum, Fagus grandifolia, Carpinus caroliniana, Prunus serotina and Carya ovata. Cap and stem slimy. Cortina white. Young gills purplish-gray. Odor indistinct. Cap slime mild tasting. Cap context white. Stem context purple. Stem hollow. Taste mild. 5% KOH dark, slightly reddish, brown on cap.
