This seems to be a tachinid fly. I'm not sure on the species. I read they are commonly mistaken for house flies, which I could understand for a second until you look at one sitting still.

This is the Blue Fungus Beetle, and as told by the name, it eats fungi. I was at a high altitude when I found this specimen. The location coordinates are not exact since I didn't have service for a while, but is very close.

I think this is an example of Maple Bladdergall Mites. I found it on a maple leaf, and it's not long and pointed like the Red Nail Mites. They are plant gallers.

I originally thought that this was some sort of wasp or hornet when I spotted it and was scared to get close. But after reviewing photos later, this has to be a Dogwood Borer Moth, a wood borer.

I am confident this is Coleoptera Hydrophilidae, I found it a few weeks ago and was either dead or I accidently killed it while netting. I think it could be Hydrophilus Triqngularis which are aquatic predators.

I found this grasshopper already dead by my uncles' field. I think it is at least Orthoptera Acrididae. I'm not sure on the species since it could be discolored as it is dead. Grasshoppers commonly eat leaf and vegetable matter, sometimes nibble on dead matter but hard emphasis on plants.

I found an adult white-lined Sphinx here in the same area just a few weeks ago. This is it as a catepillar I suspect. These feed on leaf material and are leaf chewers at this stage and it's eating at the point the photo was taken. It eventually eats nectar upon adulthood.
