He/him🏳️‍🌈. Grew up in Massachusetts, lived in Indiana for three years, now living in Virginia.

Huge fan of all life, but especially the kinds that I can get a good picture of. I did my undergraduate thesis on Desmidiaceae, and am moderately knowledgeable at identifying them (mostly to genus, sometimes to species). Outside the wonderful world of algae I have a little experience with North Atlantic shorebirds but am mostly a casual identifier and observer.
