Biology student, fisheries technician, amateur naturalist, and aquarium hobbyist. My primary area of interest is the ecology, taxonomy, and biology of freshwater fishes from Africa and North America. I love catching small fish, as all bichirs do.

I have a passing interest in marine life, entomology, and freshwater wetland botany, but my knowledge of everything other than freshwater ichthyology is rather cursory. I am also extremely shaky on Cypriniformes, so please excuse any egregious misidentifications in that department.
