The neighborhood's Weird Bug Lady.
Most of my observations are focused on a small patch of land by the Podgorze Museum. Two elevated train tracks were built there in 2016-2017, which left the place a sandy, pebbly wasteland (you can still see that on iNat's satellite view). It naturally recolonized since then and is now covered in green in the summer. It features a lot of interesting invertebrates who love this kind of sandy sunny limestone-based habitat (Phlegra fasciata, Manica rubida and so forth), and sometimes water-loving visitors from the nearby Plaszow Pond. There have been talks about turning this patch into a city park, but we had no news about it for a while.
All my photos are CC0--go wild!
