We need your... eyes!

We need your help.
We need your eyes.
We need you to take a walk in the Center Hill Preserve sometime on Saturday, October 24.
We're the Southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barrens Alliance and for nearly a decade we have been doing everything (and anything) we can to educate the public about the unique attributes and intrinsic value of what is the second-largest remaining example of Atlantic Coastal Pine Barrens in the world!
The largest remaining example is the New Jersey Pine Barrens, we're second, in the world.
Once, thousands of years ago, the Atlantic Coastal Pine Barrens stretched from Nova Scotia to North Carolina.
The Massachusetts Coastal Pine Barrens stretches from Duxbury, Kingston, and Plymouth in the north, southwest to Mattapoisett, and includes all of Cape Cod and the Islands.
That's our focus, but now we are also the stewards of the Center Hill Preserve (in Plymouth), 100+ acres that serve as a miniature version of the entire ecoregion, and which we plan to intensely study so as to understand how climate change, sea-level rise, and other environmental stressors are affecting the vitality of this intensely biodiverse area.
We want to know everything there is to know, about these 100+ acres, to shed light about the entire ecoregion, and this bioblitz is an important, if small, step in that direction.
So please, take a walk here that Saturday and, using the iNaturalist app, record the birds, bees, trees, flowers, bugs, and beauty of Center Hill Preserve.
