Colour Polymorphism in the Cape Flora

Many species have different coloured flowers.

For instance: Almost all Protea species vary from pink or red to creamy-white. In Erica we have some really polymorphic species: Erica longifolia has over 11 different colour forms, pink, white, yellow, pink with white tips, etc ...

This project is to help catalogue these variations. If interested, please fill in the field available (Colour polymorphisms (s Afr)) and specify the proportion of the different forms in the local population. Something like "pink 20: white 80" OR "pink 20% rest white" OR "an all red population"
