Growing on tanoak wood and leaves in mixed forest. Spreading poroid fungus, white at the margin, orange at the edge of the pores, and silver grey in the center. K+ red-brown.

Growing on a well rotted and de-barked Notholithocarpus densiflorus
Tiny, pea sized orange pleurotoid fungus. Laterally attached stipe with distantly spaced, subdecurrent lamellae. Pileus striate, so thin you can almost see through it. Reduced stipe covered in tiny white hairs.
No noticeable smell, taste mild

Conidia on greenish-gray branching filaments up to 1.5 cm talll. Conidia hyaline, 7-8.8 x 5-6.5 µm, elliptical to balloon shaped with truncate base, conglutinating into large clusters. Hyphae brown, septate, 20 µm thick.
Growing on fir forest on the west side of a mountain crest. Large clitocyboid, pileus grey-brown, ornamented with fine brownish scales, irregularly peeling. Lamellae pinkish white, decurrent, brittle. Stipe white, thick.

Impressions of habitat: dense, short grass. A lot of moisture but no pooling water (knees wet when kneeling for photographs). Very close to stream edge, within a few feet.
Mushrooms Gregarious.
Only found in one spot, approx 15x10ft, both sides of stream, more abundant on south side.
Someone I know very well may have collected these. Wasnt me though.

Ascomata erumpent hamathecia, irregularly mound like, 0.3-0.5 mm diameter; ostiolar mound 0.1 mm tall, 0.2 mm diameter.
Dictyospores yellow-brown, 11–12 x 28–30 µm, transverley 4-septate, logitudinally 1–septate, surrounded by a distinct, hyaline, mucilagenous sheath 8–10 µm thick.
“Nivatogastrium” wrightii (?)
Secotioid agaric with shape of squashed baseball. Cap slimy, orange-yellow with fibrillose reddish brown scales. Gills grayish brown, wrinkled, looking like meat. Stipe well-developed but squat; whitish with red-brown scales.
Large, densely cespitose groups in planter with tomatoes and rosemary, appearing after tropical storm. Downy/fuzzy universal veil tissue dense on cap, extending down the stipe, also present on annulus which is weak and falls away easily. Veil tissue very soft to touch, becoming sleek on cap with desiccation. Stipe bases enmeshed in stringy mat of plant roots (both rosemary and tomato.) Strong fungal smell, rotting fruitbodies were attracting flies. Very mild taste, almost flavorless. No UV fluorescence. Even the fresher fruitbodies are weak and floppy, falling over easily without plant/planter wall/other fruitbodies to lean on. Rotten fruitbodies very strong smell, turning black/brown.
Observation for fungi (not fly)
While I noticed this fungi at the time, I forgot I could duplicate photos and make another observation secondary to the main target observation, which was the fly.
Dark stuff growing in a pattern on Eriogonum nudum indictum stem. Fairly common on this species here.
Growing on Pinus jeffreyi cones. Pileus dark gray to white, mostly flat at maturity. Lamellae white, free. Stipe white at apex, fading to yellow and ochre at base, with extensive basal tomentum
Found in Nora’s Wood as part of my study to generate a funga report of the park starting in October 2020.
Unsure what this species is, there were dark droplets on the smaller mushrooms that stained my fingers a tobacco color, gills were very slug eaten but the small section has given a white to cream spore color. Found below a California incense cedar.

Somehow i forgot to take photos of this on my camera, that's embarrassing. Grey capped Entolomataceae growing from under a log. Pileus dark grey, broadly flattened and wavy at the edges. Lamellae widely attached, pinkish buff. Stipe thick, tough, rigid, dark grey, ornamented with white scurfs at apex, pink spore dusting, and white basal tomentum
