On rocks in temporary stream in ash woodland. Leaves 2mm long with wings running down stem. Stems are quite tough.
Growing with Nardia compressa on gritstone rock in very small stream on heather moorland. Leaves 3-4mm long.
This is a moss found on the west coast of Scotland given to me by my professor who specialises in mosses he was unable to identify it and was wondering if our online community might be able to help. When I get hold of a microscope I will re-wet it and take photos of leaf shap, cell structure, leaf margin and so on.
