A small one tucked defensively into the reef wall. I came back later and all that was left was some crab bits.
Macroctopus maorum or Robsonella huttoni?
A few around. One was out deep within a patch of Kina.

This squid had been apparently washed over the beach during high tide and stuck in the pond of water at the end of this canyon. Tadpoles were (apparently?) predating on it. It was already dead.

Approx 3.5 / 4 inches. Found in the stomach of a Yellowfin Tuna
Washed up freshly dead.
Collected on beach c.500 metres north of photo. Took photo in more sheltered place. An almost perfect specimen. Herbertville beach, south of Cape Turnagain.
