On the rocks at the sea side edge of the jetty
Not sure about these, saw them on the moccasin pond platforms with double crested cormorants, but I have never seen neotropic or double crested with white skin and looks like white going down the throat in one of them, could never get a front view unfortunately. Starting on 6th photo is the second bird.

A moth, laying flat on ground among oak leaves. Very well-camouflaged.

On the first night of my long journery (28th), I was too exhausted to do any mothing. Happily, there were numerous moths found the next morning at one of the restrooms in the park.
This set of observations was obtained during biological surveys on a private ranch in Real County, TX.
Very numerous at times at the porchlights.
