In the last picture where the turtle’s head is out it’s apparent that it doesn’t have colored cheeks characteristic of the “slider” type turtles. It was less than thrilled about me taking pictures of it and I didn’t want to scare it. However, I couldn’t get a good idea of shell patterning because it was covered in algae and subsequently dirt from digging in the yard. It was in the front yard of someone I was doing a job for. Behind their house was a man made lake with other turtles in the distance that were too far away for me to get a good look at.
