We "planted" a bit of this in our larger dam a few years ago, where it did nothing for a while but became very common in drought when the water level dropped and water no doubt warmed. Now it has got into another dam c. 2-300m away (via ducks?). It is growing on an old dry cow pat that must have blown into the dam and is holding its shape. Not seen anywhere else in the dam so far.
