This silverfish was seen when unpacking some boxes outside of the Magnolia complex as the University of of South Florida. It has a completely white body with six legs, two antennae on its head, and three at the end of its tail. It was about 1in in length. I used a guide provided by the University of Florida for help with this identification. http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/URBAN/silverfish.HTM
burrowed into the muddy bottom of the small drainage it was in. This locality is right next to a high school with 2 ponds and it drains into the Cahaba. Released from someone's aquarium???
Approx 2 inches long.
Been here for several weeks, visibly larger since last time I saw it. Web is truly massive, 6 foot or more anchor threads.
