Islanders and visitors can join the iNaturalist project "Birds of Hilton Head Island, SC" and add their birding photos for all to see. This will help us know where and when to find the birds we want to see and will help identify birds for those who are new to the Island or new to birding. Welcome!

Welcome to the South Carolina Mushroom Project. Please read the TERMS. Remember, identification of mushrooms by photo only does not always mean that your specimens will get an ID.

To increase the odds of getting an ID, please provide good photos of both the top and underside of the mushroom (in focus) in situ if possible and describe it in as much detail as possible. Other suggestions are listed in the TERMS.

Residents and visitors to Beaufort County are welcome to add their observations to this project.
