Posting this in case I'm somehow right.
I've heard of a 16 mile wide craft that may be approaching. Could have something to do with unnatural silence on the 26th? Who's to say. However, I don't feel threatened by this.

Just a few hours ago the Big Dipper was above my house amongst the stars, mars was clearly visible next to the waxing crescent moon shining it's light down on my street as the frogs and crickets chittered in the distance. But now I go outside and there's nothing. I can't remember the last time I could hear my ears ringing outside. The moon and all the stars vanished. All the color seemed to disappear from my surroundings. No frogs, no crickets, no birds, no people, no cars, no lights on in any houses. Just me standing in the dark in the middle of the road.
The insects are coming out of hiding, and now with my new ultraviolet lightbulbs I'm getting summer numbers while it's still below 50 outside. These lightbulbs are paying off! I wonder how many insects I'll see once the cherry blossoms begin to bloom and the nights get warmer...
I got two new books for Christmas today.
"The Lives of Moths" by Andrei Sourakov and Rachel Warren Chadd.
And
"Moths, a complete guide to biology and behavior" by David C. Lees and Alberto Zilli.
If you're looking for a gift for a fellow naturalist I'd recommend these.
List of things I have learned so far from reading these (I will take a while to keep updating this)
Terminology like "Macroheterocera", which refers to Lepidopteran superfamilies that have branched off in
evolution as of 90 MYA. (Noctuoidea, Geometroidea , Lasiocampoidea, Bombycoidea and Drepanoidea).
I get the feeling this fall and maybe into next year will be a very successful time for arachnids. I'm posting this to see if my prediction will be true.
Earlier I walked over to Barker Creek with my Life Straw and I drank from the creek. The water was slightly below room temperature with no taste or aftertaste. I drank from where the water looked clearest which was also where it was flowing too, flowing water is better to drink. I had a bit of a stomach ache for a few minutes afterwards but I'm not sure if thats related. The water was good enough to drink, but I'd rather just walk back to my house for a sweet tea.
I had a dream that I was whale spotting when I found this fishing boat that had poached a small Orca. I followed it to this hole in the wall kind of sushi restaurant, I shot him with a shotgun, and I ate his bitcoin credit card.
Don't poach endangered animals kids, Or I'll eat your cryptocurrency.
