I am a birder and I have worked professionally as a protected species biologist for almost 30 years. I have mostly worked in Texas but also Florida, New York, and North Dakota as well as northern Mexico and Central America. Recreational birding has taken me throughout the U.S. and Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and South Asia.
