I am a retired geology professor, so much better at identifying rocks than plants, but I'm making an effort to learn more. I am a native of Alabama and once knew quite a bit about trees and plants because my father was a Dept. of Agriculture employee and I helped him on the family farm. After living in Wisconsin and Utah for 38 years, I retired to Alabama in 2014 and now have to reacquaint myself with the state.
