I enjoy nature observation. I can identify birds in my county (Albemarle County, Virginia, USA) by sight and song pretty well. I have some familiarity with birds from other regions. I am interested in identifying other animals and plants but am a novice at those.

I like to try to make identifications. Since I am grateful for identifications from others for my observations, my goal is to help others by having more identifications as observations. If I make an identification that you disagree with or just have a question about, feel free to ask. I make plenty of mistakes and hope I learn from them.
