I started paying closer attention to the birds and other wildlife around me a couple years ago after a pair of mourning doves nested in one of my hanging planters in my courtyard just outside my back window. They inspired me to buy a little better camera. Now I can't stop watching and taking photos. I'm a newbie at IDs, and happy to be learning from all the naturalists here.
