I am a researcher at the Center on Global Justice at UC San Diego interested primarily in native plants but expanding to fauna. My students and I record species in the border region, especially areas of the western canyon system of Tijuana, where our organization has a long-term engagement with local partners, including the Hormiguitas Vivero de Plantas Nativas, the oldest native plants nursery in Tijuana. While I have a PhD, it is in political science, please feel free to correct me and help me learn along with my students.
