I live close to the Auenwald in Leipzig, a large alluvial hardwood forest that doesn't cease to amaze me for all the years I have been exploring it. Aiming to document its anbundoned natural diversity. My main interest lies on invertebrates, especially arthropods like pseudoscorpions or myriapods, as well as myxomycetes and other slime molds. As these can be notoriously hard to find, there will be a lot of bycatch like fungi and arthropods. Expect a lot of dead wood and leaf litter dwellers here. I like going (semi-) microscopic, hunting in moss for smaller slime molds, tardigrades, rotifers etc.
