My name is Rodney Evans, and I am an indigenous filmmaker and activist that happens to find myself outside a lot. I regularly am out fishing, hiking, and generally adventuring around all parts of Alaska.

My observations will primarily be fish, but I also find myself regularly observing terrestrial animals, bugs, birds, and the occasional plants.

Growing up in an indigenous community and tribe that is so intertwined with the animals and natural world around us, I’ve always had an interest in wildlife and marine biology. While my observations are mostly citizen science efforts, my priority is to advance the recognition of indigenous knowledge as a science and furthering its role in modern/western science forms.
