We are the UK's first Civic Arboretum. Set up by Sidmouth Town Council, the Arboretum incorporates all the trees in the Sid Valley in Devon. We operate as a volunteer community group and our role is to engage with residents and visitors to promote all of the trees in our area. We work with schools, plant trees on Council land, operate guided tree walks, publish and distribute tree trail leaflets, undertake citizen science research projects, and maintain an online tree database.
