While my day job has nothing to do with non-human life forms, I've recently had the opportunity to explore my curiosity about Hawai'i ecology and learn about our amazing native species. I've found this activity to be a wonderful jumping off point to subjects of conservation, history and culture in this place I've lived most of my life.
