Today I walked around the Webster Woods/Hammond Pond area for my nature walk. It was a little damp in the woods from the rain and the temperature was around 60 degrees. I went for my nature walk here a couple of weeks ago so I tried to explore new places in the woods and went in the opposite direction I went last time. The first thing I saw were two berries hanging from a branch, this was my angiosperm plant. When I saw the ferns I looked under the leaves to see if there were any homospory like we discussed in class but I didn't see any, probably because it was the season for it. The moss I found was at the bottom of a tree and looked damp. This finding is similar to what I would have expected because we learned in class that moss (bryophyte) is found in low-damp forests because they struggle with the effects of gravity.
